  1. Thanks for clearing that up regarding the Alloys. Does anyone out there have a set of Alloys for sale that will fit my 2001 TD4? Would prefer 16 or 17" with or without tyres. Cheers
  2. Hi, Regarding Alloy wheels for Freelanders. Will any other Landrover Alloy Wheels fit the Freelander. ie Disco, Range Rover????? I"m looking for a set of Alloys for my 2001 TD4S and like some others on this site, I also bought a set of Alloys from an older Freelander only to find out, after travelling miles and miles to collect them that they didn"t fit. And if I do fit later 17" Freelander alloys will they affect my overall Speed, Economy etc?????? Any advice would be appreciated Dave
  3. Hi, I"m asking this question for a mate of mine. He has a Mark 1 Freelander and wants to fit the rubber looking nudge bar which has spotlights incorporated in it. Where can you buy these? and how much are they?. Any ideas. Dave
  4. Hi All, Much to my disgust I have to sell my Freelander and purchase a Disco for Towing large caravan. Has anyone a rough idea of what my Freelander would be worth selling it privately or to a dealer in P/X. 2000/2001 X reg TD4S Auto in silver.105k miles.11months MOT. TAX. Very clean and tidy interior.Bodywork absolutely rust free but with a few slight "Supermarket" dings on the drivers door. Drives like a dream, uses absolutely No Oil or Water. I"m looking to buy a clean Diesel Auto, preferably under £4000.00 or do a straight swap. Any ideas? Cheers Dave
  5. Thanks for your help Rob, The bulb is fine, the trouble is that the digital display is knackered. Could you tell me where you bought the £4.00 loom adapter? I might need to buy one. Cheers Dave.
  6. Hi Mark, Thanks for taking the time to reply. Does the Radio unit you have spare have it"s own display unit. Can it be recoded without having to use the clock and importantly, how much do you want for it? Harwoods are prepared to refund my money if I send the clock back, but it might be easier for me to fit another Radio. Cheers Dave
  7. Thanks for that Rob. So if I wanted to fit a C42 cassette unit I wouldn"t need to worry about changing the clock. Any idea where I can buy one of those units?
  8. Thanks mate, I"ll get on to Harwoods to see if they"ll take it back. Do you think there is anyway I could use the display from the new clock with the internals from the original clock? because other than the display I believe the rest of it works ok. Cheers Dave
  9. Hi, Thanks for your answer. My Freelander is a 2001 TD4 with a factory fitted Radio/Cassette. Does this mean that the clock is no good for my needs? Dave
  10. Hi, I recently bid for and bought a brand new Freelander clock from Harwoods on ebay. I purchased it because the display had completely disappeared on the clock of my Freelander when I bought it, and the Radio didn"t work because the previous owner fitted a much better unit replacing it with the original when he sold the car and I presume was unable to enter the security code. I have fitted the new clock, which tells the time correctly but I an unable to get the radio to work. My question is? Were there 2 different clocks supplied with Freelanders? My original clock was numbered XQH100100 this new clock is numbered YFB100380, does this new clock still have the facility to display the radio? The instruction manual tells me that when entering a new code "Wait" should be displayed, I get nothing. What am I doing wrong or is this the wrong clock for my Freelander? Please help. Dave
  11. Hi everyone, I am the proud owner of my second Freelander, a 2001 TD4S Auto fitted with standard steel wheels. What I would like to know is? What size wheels 2 will fit my vehicle? Can I go up to 17 or 18inch diameter without them rubbing against the bodywork? Will Mark 2 wheels fit? and has anyone got any For Sale? I know the Freelander is ridiculed by other Land Rover aficionados, but as far as I am concerned I think Freelanders are the Dogs B....cks. Cheers Dave
