I seem to get this aswell going to go have a wee gander at the breather tomorow.

I have a mate up here with a car so he is giving me a lift home this week (he lives 30 miles past inverness) then next week hes bringing another spare the same size as the spare i have on at the moment there fore i will have 2 wheels the same size on the axle so surely if i remove the prop then there will be no ill effects on the diffs?
Its just to get me home like.
Also i stay at this B&B every week so the person that owns it dosnt mind it being on the road over the weekend.
Thanks for the offer of a spare but i might as well wait intill i get my other wheel up.
-
The tyre place I was at was for truck so the only tyres they had there were big fook off ones I was planning gettign new wheels/tyres once these had worn down but seems that its happened faster than expected!
-
I think what I am going to do is wait till next week. I can get one of my spare wheels up here that will match the spare so what I will do is whap them on the front and remove the prop and drive home like that. Is there any reason why I couldnt put them on the rear and remove the prop?
-
Its a landrover defender 90 cant remeber the tyre sizes atm but the spare is a standard landrover wheel and tyre for a 90 and the 3 others are colway machos there a bit bigger than the landrover one will find sizes in a bit.
-
o well is there any way i could drive home on the smaller spare then or is that out of the question?
-
Theres no hole in the tyre at all. What happened is a funny noise started so I slowed down and it got worse so I pulled in and it was flat and then got it taken on the back of a truck to the garage. All it looks like is that the inner tube went bust there is some rubber dust around the inside of the tyre.
-
While driving up to my digs in fraserbourgh I have a flat now they say at the garage that its no use because its been run flat. The only spare I have is smaller than these wheels. Is there anyway I can drive home with this wheel? or is there no way?
Because the only other optionm is I get a lift home with a mate and try and get my spare set of wheels up there somehow.

I didn't realise they'd do 80!
I think I have too much mechanical sympathy and perhaps hearing that is too sensitive ?? - mines 'comfortable' (for me and the motor!) at around 60 - 65 and that's where I drive it. It'll run up to 70 on a downhill but that's about it....
Am I being too gentle?
Dont worry thats what mines does to i was starting to think there was somthing wrong with mine when he pulled out the 80

looking at his feedback he managed to sell the same shogun twice for different cost but with the same description 7 days apart. My guess would be one was his mate bidding and managed to over bid.
Check the questions for the second shogun
"Q: any rewason why the last guy who one never took it"
"A: my mate won it wasnt selling it for that price"
And in the end it went for lower than the first auction

Maby he thought TD3 is a shortend 300 TDI It could be a ok landrover just the guy with it isnt so tuned up with landrovers
-
Cool thanks
-
Have you got any pics of your old seats? ither in the landrover or out just want to see how they fit
-
if you mean the wires are broken then yes a new sensor or that part of the wiring will need to be replaced.
Well what i mean is there is nothign there at all at the bottem apart from the cap on the bottem of the filter.
-
Little update well well once under teh landrover there seems to be a lot of mud around the filter then all of a sudden i see a connecter and it isnt plugged into anything so i clean that up and now the light has gone off on the dash. But a little problem there dosnt seem to be anywhere this plug should be plugged into
A i see where it is soposed to go now, just need to get this sheild off now
EDIT: Taken off sheild to find out that there isnt a bottem wire so will this need a hole sensor unit i am guessing?
-
Thanks for the replys will check all that today. But if it is the sensor that is faulty is it still ok to drive on it till i get a new one? or would it be unadvisable to drive on it ?
-
Thanks for another brillient reply much apreciated going to wait till tomorow mornign to sort this thansk again.

Driving back down to fraserburgh today and a warning light has come on its the bottem second from the right one it looks like a tank with a seperate lid,Anyone know what this means i have checked engine and Brake levels and there fine? No noises yet but the landrover did feel a wee big sluggish today. But that could have possably been due to the high winds blasting down on me
How many miles has yours done???????
