hi does anyone know if you can put hill decent into a freelander 1 if it has not got it. if so what do i need as i would like to put it in as i am started to mod the car for off road. many thanks antony

hi yes it came from an mg zs i am useing my ecu as and i changed the coils to dizzy type i used parts off my old one and i was told it was a strate swap. many thanks antony

it is a 1998 model 1.8 freelander manual i have put a new engine in. the engine is the same apart from cam where i change it from a coil to a dizzy. and now it has got this problem. so can any on help

hi done the engine put in the the car and i went to the shop and it will not rev more than 3000 revs. so when you go up hill it will struggle and it will only go at 30mph top end and that it so can any one tell me whats up with it. many thanks antony

hi the engine comes from an mg zs 2004 model can any one tell me where i can get the engine wiring loom from and an ecu for it. can any one tell me the differance between the 2 engine apart from 1 is coil and the other is dizzy cap? thank you for your help

hi thank you all for you help i have been offerd a engine with coil pack and leads and a head gasket uprated been done so i am going to put this in. the only thing i am not sore on is will i need a ecu.

hi the water is definately in the oil in the sump and on the oil cap i bleed the system. when i got the car it had head gasket done in 6 months ago it had £800.00 spent on it and i have the paper from the garage. than i did the head gasket and i notice it had 2 new pistons in the block. it starts and after 10 minutes it stalls. many thanks

hi i am new to land rover and i have a freelander 1.8 3 door i have just done an uprated haed gasket on it and and as soon as i started the car i gone again and when it gets hot it stalls and you have to leave it to cool down. so i do not know what do next either a new engine or a new head. i do not want to sell the car. so can any one help me. many thanks antony
