    ok lads ive just finnished doing the actuator making sure its moving in and out which downsed in lub its seems to be working fine 
    swich on ignition it moves in and out swittch off ignition it mowes until it parks itself takes about 20 seconds or so 

    ANYWAY STILL THE SAME HAD IT WITH THIS 
    last work caried out was new head cams injectors and wireing 
    so if anyone wants a project could be an easy fix for someone with time on there hands 
    its a 58plate born 31/12/08 so realy an 09 thats what comes up when plugged in 
    its mot for a year its been on an airport all its life done 155000 mls front seat and door card could do with replacing as thats all thats been used on the car back seats and seats in boot have not had a bum on 
    i will also break this motor if need to 

    will part ex landrover defender or kawaski mule or similier or what you got had enough 
    i also have another 58 plate 1 there for breaking so if you need any parts got them here outskirts of edinburgh
  2. hi all disco 3 58 plate starts drives but on road it strugles to accelarate out of junction or from standing start when it does go it like no power drives up to around 70 mph all air pipes are on as i can see i have replaced egr with blanking kit but still the same if not worse any help would be appreciated
    theres no message or faults on dash

    asked about historic tax women did not know but she asked her boss

    job done came out with a tax disc for a year free free free

    just singed my log book post office sent it away

  4. have a landrover that was born march 1973
    the historic tax jumoed a year on so it woukd mean any born
    1 jan 1974 now qualifies for historic tax ??
    i recieved my tax renewal today
    but it still asks for the 126 or 230 ??
    am i meant to do somthing to get this benifit

Physically, it's possible: the big problem is that gears wear and with time become 'hobbed' to match the other gears they're meshing with - so if you throw together a random bunch of gears/shafts that have previously never played together it's hard-to-impossible to work out the necessary clearances or predict what's likely to happen in future.

    Guesswork and luck might get you a combination of gears/shafts that at first assembly might work together silently - but over the next 10,000 miles the high- and low-points of the gears can wear down and leave you with a horrid noisy-and-rattly box-of-swarf.

    The labour-cost and vehicle-off-road downtime-cost of a gearbox swap far exceeds the cost of the gearbox itself.

    thats what i wanted to here so now the best plan is to sell the td5 defender box and transfere and get my self a

    300 tdi r 380

    great pity AS THE TD5 BOX HAS ONLY 60000 MILES ON IT

    i have a 110 landy what parts are compatible to make double cab ???


    am i right in thinking that a 90 rear tub and sides would do


    or has anyone done this before and can enlighting me before i go buying all the wrong parts



    and before anyone says i just missed a complete body on eblab i was on the case the lad

    mustof had a offer then took it off
