hi, this maybe a bit late but I had the same problem, and found out it was the rear gate seal on the hinged side. so I made it a better fit and its been fine since .

hi can anyone tell me. do you have to have the sump guard on. if so what does it do.

thanks everyone, gearbox sorted. it was a grub screw on the selector shaft yoke under the gear stick, it hade come loose. thanks again. Richard.o

hi, can anyone give me some advice. I was going up hill towing a small boat, I went to from third to forth but it would not go in so I put it in fifth, but that was to much for her so I tried to change down and no, it was stuck. so I limped home in low box. can some one shine some light on this for me any advice would be grate. thanks. hi every one. can anyone help? I have a 1992 discovery 1, (2.5) she as been starting and stopping very well, until now, she wont stop on the key I have to stall it. I was told it is probably the engine stop solenoid. can some one tell me where it is? is it on the pump or some where else. if its on the pump is it on the top or bottom. can someone HELP please. THANKS.
