  1. i have a 2003 (52) and there is no difflock on it, obviously its easier just to use the same stickers for them with and them without, as for headlight adjustment the swithch is just to the right of the steering cowl on the dash and as mentioned above the washers only work wi the lights on but in my opinion their just a waste of time.

  2. i saw something on ebay a couple of weeks back for the defender heater that altered the fan speeds so as to give better flow in the lower speeds, was £19.99, sure if you type landrover defender heater its one of the first things that come up. would post a link but i still havent figured out how to do it

  3. my mates neighbour uses them magnets on his trooper, currently he has 6 on one line and reckons he gets between 10 and 15 extra mpg. :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

    YEAH RIGHT!!

  4. hi, i am looking at fitting 2 volt gauges to the 90 to monitor the 2 optima batteries but when i look at info on fitting a gauge the concensus is they wire to the ignition and not the battery but i want to monitor both batteries so does anyone know of a way to do this?

would prefer to use gauges if possible.

  5. not strictly landrover talk but my L200 has been running a k+n induction kit for the last 3 years and the engines still running sweet as a nut, sails the emmisions every year and thats without a cat, before owning this i had a pajero with k+n also and no probs and before this i went through the whole boy racer stage for several years so every car got treated to a performance filter, whether it be k+n/pipercross/green and it never did any harm to my engines, way i see it is if they are cleaned regularly and thoroughly then theres no problems with them.

  6. defo keep the D2, them new D3's and D4's just dont have the same appeal, got my D2 4 year ago wi a genuine 17'000mls on the clock and its just turned 39'000 so its here for a few years yet unless a range rover sport turns up at an absolute bargain of course.

  7. My original (ungalvanised) Land Rover chassis lasted 22 years so I can't see a problem with Marsland chassis being merely Land Rover chassis that have been galvanised.

sure when i looked into chassis i read marslands are only 2mm steel, and richards are 3mm, its just better for strength and quality all round.

  8. ok so the heaters fitted and ready to attach the hoses from the engine (disco 200 tdi in a 90) but iv forgotten which hose goes where, its the old style heater with the pipes bending downwards.

which pipe from the engine goes to which position on the heater is the big question?

  9. ok so iv got all the wiring connected for the 200 tdi (disco engine) but it dont seem to wanna crank, iv got second stage power as i can get the wipers to run (slowly) have checked the battery and both yellow and red optimas are both around 6 to 6 1/2 volts so was thinkin o attching the jumper pack to see if this mite work. Have had the charger plugged in for 3 days to the red optima but instead of charging its lost 0.1 volts.

does anyone know if there mite be a reason for them not charging with the trickle charger?

is there anything stupidly obvious i could have missed with the wiring?

do i just plain and simply have a flat battery?
