  1. Hi, I am hoping someone can help please.

My 2002 facelift Discovery TD5 needs new brake pads on the rear. So I went on the hunt on line for rear brake pads. I thought this would be a simple task but have found a couple of options. Some with brake pad wear sensors and some without the sensors. My MOT test is in 15 days so I am just making sure any niggly jobs are done before the test. My Discovery is an ES. Which pads do I need please?

    Really appreciate the help. Cheers

  2. Thank you, I have had a look at the wiring that I could get to and have found something a little bit worrying. Bodged wiring that has been crimp connected together. And I think I will have to remove the centre consol to get to the entire loom. The front windows work fine. And I have used switch cleaner on all the switches.

    Cheers axlechorus.

I think I may have a look into it all a lot more tomorrow.

  3. About a month after I got the car, the rear windows started dying. As in the switches that operate them would only seem to work as when it felt like it. The rear windows don't respond at all anymore. I was told that the the isolation switch was faulty, so have tried replacing that with a known working one although it is from the prefacelift Discovery but still a TD5. But this didn't work.

Surely both window motors couldn't have packed up at the same time could they?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers in advance.

  4. Every Land Rover parts dealer has fobbed me off. And then I finally got away from being blonde for a minute and realised that now I have bought a fitting kit for a different bar but for the same car, that maybe I should be asking a different question!

Are all the bolts for fitting kits of nudge bars for Discovery's roughly the same length?

If these are the right length, then all I need to do is get some sleeves cut to length.

Can anyone please tell me the correct length of the bolts that are supposed to hold the bar on through the 33mm holes please?

I am hoping to get a mate down to help me get this fitted next weekend.

  5. check this out http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/97817/0/nudge_bar_fitting_kit_disco11 , google out the part number as you can find it in other places too

The set in this link aren't the right nuts and bolts, but thanks for trying to help. I ordered them and then found the instructions on line for fitting the bar and the bits I need are different.

Here is a picture taken from the fitting instructions.

Does anyone know the part number for that kit please?

  6. Both oil leaks seem to have been found. (Hopefully).

1 is the sump pan seal. So that will be replaced in a couple of weeks along with a replacement sump that mine needs anyway.

And the other leak is further up on the back of the engine as pictured although it may be something else blowing it onto it but this is very wet.

My engine is the TD5 on a 2002 Facelift Discovery Auto.

Please could someone name the part? Cheers
