  1. Hey folks I have an L registered 110 200TDi which is playing up just now, and I'm looking for some pointers. In the morning, I put the key in the ignition, and turn it. I have to 'waggle' it to get the instrument lights to come on, and when I turn the key towards me to start the engine once it is ready, it starts. Then, when I let go of the key, it stops. This goes on until I can waggle the key the right way, and the engine starts and stays on. This is not a problem when the engine is warm, but it can take up to 5 minutes to get it started in the mornings, and my neighbours are getting impatient! It is very strange, but if I was to hold the key in the III position, I could drive it, but when I let it go it stops. It does eventually start but the contuinual turning over cannot be good for the engine. Any ideas? Ta Nick
