  1. So I went with the Recaros with the Defender rails and the removable seat bases from LRI Solutions leather/leatherette.

In my research everyone seems to talk about the SVX seats and how there are different from the Recaro cross sportster, the SVX being better.

To my eye with the addition of the removable seat bases and seat rails the aftermarket Recaros actually seem nicer.

  2. Revived thread

I have the option to go in either direction with this, breather or no breather. Breather is already installed on my rebuilt motor, but I have the blanking plate and blanked valve cover if that's the better way to go.

Does it really matter one way or another?

    Thanks

OOPS, forget the LT77 pushrod, use the Tdi item FTC3912

    I've got this release bearing

    FTC5200 for 90/110 from 1986 on.

in my R380/200tdi supersedes the FRC9568 which is listed on both the parts diagrams

clutch friction plate & pressure cover is common to both gearboxes when connected to a 200tdi.

Digging this up From the dead, but as far as the slave pushrod goes, Dave from Ashcroft says to use the one from the 200tdi/lt77

has anyone used the original one when doing the LT77 to stumpy380?

    Thanks

  4. I got it, sorry for all my stupid questions. I couldn't get away from the thought that the lead had to come directly from the ignition switch, like the old style. Plus I wired the glow plug timer backwards, I looked at the pic of the spades on the bottom of the timer relay and then reversed them on the plug. My mind has a block when it comes to this type of thing.

  5. If you hooked up the orange/white wouldn't it be hot whenever the truck is on?

I thought it was only on when the key was in a certain spot. The first notch when you turn the key.

Yes, it is Tomaco, I have done so myself, but my memory isn't what it was so I can't remember exact details I took a feed to trigger the relay from the white wire on the first click. Let me have a look in the wiring diagram and I'll get back to you.

[Edit] IIRC I took the glow plug relay feed from the white/orange on the pos2/aux spade on the ignition switch. This feeds into a small busbar in the lower left hand block of the TD5 fuse box. There are spare spaces here so I was able to take a fused feed from here. I used a Tdi timer relay.
