  1. now 303 fishing sounds cool :)

Slovakia and Hungary fishing and driving holiday? up into the Tatras and all the way into the forests of Pecs, chuck the wives out in Budapest to abuse the plastic and pick em up later, would have to be self catering

    Old rangies be ok?

We could take the toys over :)

  2. some big old catfish on the danube fella, we were toying with renting out rooms to fishy people, some good offroading chucked in to boot but werent sure if anyone would be interested in it

I can do the sitting on the boat with a bottle of wine bit, its just the persuading the fish out of the water I find difficult

Thats what i thought fishing was all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sitting have a few. That plan of yours sounds pretty good Jez ;)

  3. only with explosives - I had limited success with a 12 bore though, recommend No. 6, 32g, with an open choke, semi autos are best IMO although frowned on by purists with side by sides :P

my father in law is a bit of a master with carp and big catfish fishing

There some BIG fish over that neck of the woods Jez,I have shot a few Land locked salmon with a .243 before now that is FUN :o

  4. Ive popped both with 'mexs, but seen single beadies pop the unclamped inner bead on a regularish basis, I try and find a nice piccy for ya :)

my big fat boggies are glued on with double beadies - ripped the valve out and kept on driving mmmmmmm overkill is great <_<

some of the guys were on about a bead seating glue thats available - apparently that makes a heap of difference to non beadlocked tyres? I will see if I can get more info for you

I have used a 'PU'based compond called 3 bond from japan for glueing tyres on and yep i works spot on.It,s main use is to be used as an engine sealer it works a treat on both applications. Not cheap mind about £25 a tube (size of a tooth paste tube).

  5. RED BAND isnt that for hand rails etc etc :rolleyes:

    Fridge at work shop ;);)

    F**K ME Jez

DAN IS NOT A NORTHERNER , Nottingham is,nt north He is nearer to BRUM than 'UP NORTH' HE JUST WISHES HE WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont you ALL be thinking party at the workshop :huh:

I do have a little bit of 10mm plate i will keep it for Dan,make him feel at home ;)

  6. coz by the time, you, Dan, Rog, Fridge, the Fins, James, me, and the rest of the oddballs hit the beer the tech debates are gonna be class :) I think it will be a top night. Messy - (Pr. mes-sie) noun, southern english, enjoyable, involving alcohol, hazy memory the next day, see also Paracetemol, Hangover, Kebab sprint...

Sounds like trouble to me :P:P

  7. No thanks mate,

We'd spend more time argueing than working.

And i'm not sure your steel rack could stand the weight of the "proper steel" i'd need to work with.

Though if it meant using your bender and that big plasma after hours, i could compromise :D

    TRUE

I told Rog he ( and you :unsure: ) are welcome to use any of the kit in the fab shop inc the "big yellow thing" whenever needed.

But as for the bender Dan not sure it will bend mans steel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;););)

  8. I think he was looking for a new job if your still needing help? he was doing a bit of freelance and contract work. He has the experience and know how and lives near you from the looks of things.

Tell him to give me a bell then Nick.

  9. Engine building and design i think, i cant remember his second name think he's from northampton.

I know a few lads from cosworth but not sure i know a Dave. But i do know a few of the rallying mafia from your neck of the woods,Kenny McKinstry,Deek McGarity and the late Bertie and Mark fisher.

  10. Mmmmmm.....cossie'd 205......mmmmm......hope it was rear drive :D

Was that on 36" ET's or full house 40" dumpers :P

No but it's a little more adventurous than chopping about a 90.

Who said i'd put mog axles under just the one motor.

Mine and rog's independant suspension is allready on it's second draft :D

Nope not RWD it was 4WD was still silly quick.

It was only on 36"ET's rrrrrrrrrrrr thats why the driver was going on about the steering going "loose" when in 5th and 6th!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):)

When setting and running a new workshop the last thing i am going to do is spend loads of time on my old motor, that said some of the tube work is already bent up for my FULL tube challange motor that i plan to start building come the winter CASH being the only draw back :blink:

I am busy doing indy stuff myself and the way Rog was strokeing the proto coil overs i am getting built you might end up with some of my "carp" in your work shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. How long have you been off-roading?

Have you ever rolled in one of your own cages?

If so multiple endo, barrel roll, or gentle tip on it's side?

Have you ever scratch built an off-roader?

    Done many full suspension changes?

    Engine swaps?

    Axle swaps?

12mm pig iron?, prehaps you need glasses, nothing thicker than 8mm on the G

offroading I.T.R.O 18 yrs mostly in scotland, where the hills are steep and the water is F**KING cold.

Yep rolls plenty,my own cages no problems at all,i have built 25+ GRP "n " subaru cages from scratch a few involed in Heavy Fast rolls into tree's, walls and down big drops and all crews involved walked away!!!!

engine swaps errrrrrrrrrrrr not enough fingers to count, cozzy powerd 205 pug, TT (300bhp) engined vw camper van, civic vtec in a mini.

Scratch built cars yep how about a pilbeam SR2 le man 24hr car from start to finish.

Axles swaps yep a few suzi jeeps onto toyota units.

Not being funny here but putting a set of mog axles on a motor IS'NT the be all and end all!!!

If you want to get techy make your own indepedent suspension that involes alot more thought.

That said from what i have seen of your motor it,s looking pretty dam good!!!!

  12. Awdc were asking for a 90 degree bend to the rear on all side exit exhausts, last i heard.

    Dan

Have you ever done an AWDC event????? "turning a blind eye springs to mind"!!!!!

I thought for 1 mo that i didnt get a negitive vibe off you for a change!!!! oh well never mind mate as a BLACKSMITH you the expert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
