I got 2 big plugs that got power to radio and speakers, and also 1 long but thin plug with 2 wires (the sub) I have put a phono plug on but nothing sub end. But back of my stereo there is a Left sub and Right Sub If all that makes sense.

I have replaced my Landrover Radio with a "newer better" make. I have got a factory fitted sub on my back door, but how do i connect it to my new radio, is it the little red and black wires on a large black plug??? The new radio got to have phono plugs on them Any ideas???

question my disco rear sun roof rattles alot when driving when it is open, i have looked and everything looks ok, but the front sunroof dont rattle. Is it common??? or have i a problem?? cheers James

Looking for a large Alternator for my disco, any ideas where i can get one from???

I have got a few extra things on my disco, and when everything is on, i need the throttle to increase abit, so how do you and has anyone put a little thottle stick or something on there disco to increse the REVS. Cheers Saferi 1998 TDi Auto

Update, My mate who works for a Recovery Company tested my battery, and he found it faulty even tho its a fairly new one, so i have changed my batt (072) and now its working great starting no worries James

Well................................... Left my disco unlocked all last night and day, and the battery was fine. Ummm i wonder if the Alarm / Central Locking is the problem

When i am going alone, around 50mph+ at 3k rpm then engine slighty cuts back then picks up again, the back then picks up again etc. Any ideas? James

If I leave my disco overnight sometimes it only just starts, got a new batt and alternator and all works fine, but still the battery is sometimes low. I have checked the internal lights, all switch off etc. Maybe the alarm is the problem, a couple of times i have checked the current when everything is off and there sometimes is a 0.7amp current, but not all the time. Does anyone know where the fuse is for the alarm so i can disingauge it and try that.

Just to let you all know, that I have got my disco back and working 100%, it was the EGR valve

Just heard from the garage where I got the Disco from, they have done the EGR mod and everything seems to be fine. They said they have took it up the road for a spin and the power is there and no smoke, but I will check it tom when pick it up. Do you think that might fix the power dieing off then coming back on again arind 3000 - 4000 revs??? LAst time they said its the Waste gate valave??? Cheers James

Just spoke to the garage, they said that there is a mod regarding the EGR valve. They said the EGR valve is a common problem, and to take the EGR out and replace it with a blanking pipe, or something like that..., So, lets see if thats cures the problem with it smoking and no go!!!

Hi there, i am new to this Forum, and just like to say HI to everyone Right now with the problem! Disco 300tdi S Reg Auto Air con 85k Smoking really bad, black when u put your foot down and no go, then it picks up after afew seconds (ie 10 - 15 secs). The Intercooling pipes have been changed..... Any ideas??????? Please Please Please Would the turbo be on its way out????
