  1. oil changed replaced the plugs(to get rid of the misfire) still a bit blue..any thoughts as to how long it should take to clear, obviously the exhaust will have a fair coating and will have to get hot enough to burn off whats in there but i think my neighbours are going to get the arse soon!!

  2. changed the oil on my 4.6 v8 today put 10/30 mineral in .....and oh s**t cant see down the road for the smoke....so have i done any damage is the oil the wrong grade and what should i do now?? (no rude answers involving diesel thank you!)

  3. Ruuman do u run his set up? Mark and I are buying the complete kit wonder if we coul look at yours? Were in surrey also

Hi Ruuman is my winch bitch he runs a milemarker with pto

Im in Croydon and have a saley front and milemarker type r on the back chain driven pump via a dog clutch to a 30cc motor if you want to look no problem call me on 07860 894482 v890 jon

  4. my v8 (4.6 block and heads 3.9 front cover & megasquirt) has suddenly started using lots of oil.sad.gif

it's not a road car mostly used for challenge events and pay and play.

so....there is little or no crank case pressure (checked at the oil filler)

but the plugs are oily and it smokes, bluey grey smoke

so is it rings or valve guide oil seals?

and if its the later can they be changed without removing the heads?...compressed air into the plug hole to keep the valves shut whilst changing the seal?

    thanks in advance ....smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

  6. on a recent 900 mile round trip to germany with my supercharged l322 towing 16' trailer, averaged 17mpg, trailer empty one way 900kg on return i was happy with that!!!

last weekend 70 litres of petrol = 5 hrs maybe 15 miles all in low range on a punch hunt in my 4.6 90 not so happy with that!!

  7. I have recently picked up a 56 plate super charged l322, so far the experience is not to good, subwfoofer does not work but the sales man told me he has "sat in the boot with one of his younger mechanics cd's"and it does work...he also says that the logic 7 system means you might not hear the sub speaker!!

we now have a thump on take up of drive which the dealer says they have no known issues with, however there are known problems with software and valve blocks giving these probs..

    not good so far!!

  8. Hi i've had my 54 plate 05 model from nearly new (was a demo with 3k miles) its now done 44k only problems so far front diff failed at 30k covered by warranty low pressure pump 33k apart from these bits its a fantastic all rounder....its also for sale (i want a supercharged one) so if you want a look let me know.

  9. this looks good any info on part nos for air rams ect as im just trying to do the same to my milemarker

Well Mr Saley has just dropped off some air rams :) Thank you :)

Just a quick test in the workshop, to see how they would work without having to use 2 lever valves per winch (i.e. one for high & one for low)

Here is a video, using a pair of johns air rams. The 2 in the video are for switching the Low gear, a different one, but very similar is needed for the High gear (but the way they work is the same), i need to get some ;).

I've made it so that you can use just one lever valve to operate all 3 functions - High Gear / Free / Low gear.

And this is my dog clutch air ram :

    .

Hi this looks good..can you give any part no's for air rams ect as im trying to do just the same to my milemarker cheers Jon
