  1. the last couple of frosty mornings has given my mondeo TD a starting problem  i let the glow plugs go on and off a couple of times... turn the key,it starts, runs for 3 or 4 seconds and stops.....and then you have to keep winding it over and over till it eventually starts.

i'll go and get a new set of glow plugs later.... but any other ideas?

  3. For A Mate

a friend has a 2.25 LWT and is thinking of fitting a stage 1 or 2 head to it.

what he wants to know is and correct me if im wrong..... a stage 1 is a straight swap for the old one with no modifications elsewhere.

but its a stage 2 hes not sure about ..... is that a straight swap or do you have to alter the carb etc.

not sure why he cant ring up Turners and ask for himself.

  4. since i fitted 35-12.5-15 tyres on the 90 they of course catch on the radius arms on full lock.

the wheels they came with are just standard white spokes 8x15 from craddocks.........any idea what off set these would be??

also what off set i need to stop the tyres rubbing.

of course theres wheel spacer but i heard alot of bad things about these.... and at £160 it nearly the price of 4 steel wheels.......or can i tell kazi that the only way to sort it is to fit Mach 5's.

  5. trouble is..... what was a cheap form of motorsport which most people could compete in fairly cheaply... IE standard 90 fitted with MT's..... and therefore alot of people can afford to do it.

as people are spending more and more on their vehicles,it then puts off mr family man from doing it, because they cannot compete realisticaly against them..... and in the end the sport slowly dies apart from those with long pockets.

ive seen it happen with alot of other sports over the years.

    just a thought.

  6. right then LED's are in ..... fuses sorted .... BUT as soon as the ignition is on the temp gauge goes into the red.

now i cant have got the wires mixed up because 1 was male and the other side female....

    ?????????????

    apologies for being thick

  7. bought a set of LED's for the 90 off the auction site.

my dials have always been very difficult to see in the dark so i thought they would be worth while.

first problem is that the led is physicaly bigger and wont fit all the way into the dial.

so email the company who said.......

"yours is a later model with the green filter fitted...if so remove the green plastic internal dome."

so do i put a slightly larger drill bit down the hole or does the gauge come to bits???

    oh yeh ... anyone got a temp gauge...ACT2216....PRC 7311
