300tdi cat removal

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I'm needing a new front pipe on my 96 def 90 300tdi. I've not long replaced the other two sections so the questions i'm looking to find answers too are as follows.

1. Can i replace the pipe with a straight piece without cat?

2. Will this have undesirable effects on performance and passing an MOT?

3. Will the sound of the vehicle be affected?

The reason i ask is simply a matter of sound. I would like my truck to sound a little more aggressive but i don't want a straight through as i like my hearing as is.

If putting a de-cat pipe on will in anyway cause damage to my car or cause problems at an mot then i will happily replace it like for like.

Any info and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Haze. 😁
