Holmkiern
Hi, I got an issue regarding the starter. First thought it was relay by the fuses that was the starter relay but wires was too small to be the one. Found a relay behind the instrument, just behind voltage meter and thought that was for the starter but no. I was able to start without relay in socket. I know I need to change ignition switch since I found I was able to start when moving the wires behind column but just want to make a fix solution while ordering new switch and want disconnect relay to avoid short cut. miketomcat
The relay only triggers the solenoid (part of the starter) so the wires are fairly small. From memory it is one down behind the fuses. If your worried about shorting just disconnect the battery. Mike
Holmkiern
Hi Mike, I know the function of the relay but size of cable does not match the size connected to starter. My idea was to have an extra button connected to relay and controll it separately and therefor wanted to disconnect it from relay. Are there more places with relays then behind dash and fuses?
