David Cornwall
Hi I recently had my washers and o rings changed on my TD5 injectors, 140,000 miles, because there was a slight rise in fuel on the stick. About a quarter of an inch. It stayed at the same level. It is still doing the same thing after the refit. The oil looks good, very clean and no smell of diesel. All very confusing but I did read somewhere that injectors need to be tightened down after about two hundred miles after the refit and this hasn't been done so that could be the problem. The engine is going far too well for a crack in the head to be the problem. Famous last words. Any thoughts?
reb78
If the o rings are at fault the level wont stay stable, it will continue to rise. Was the right amount of oil added and are you checking it on the same ground/level ground each time? Edited April 26, 2020 by reb78
