rooferboy03
Hi All Just registered as a new member having purchased mk2 Range Rover 4.6 hse GREAT!!!!!. My question is, can i swop the 16inch wheels for 18's whitout messing up gear ratios, diff's etc & also which size tyre or profile would be best to run on. q-rover
Yes no problem. I think original was 255.55x18, but a lot of people go up in profile to 60 for better comfort.
fisha
agree. originals are 255/55 r18s 255/60r18's fit fine although they can occasionally just rub a little bit when the wheel is turned and the suspension compressed, but it varies from vehicle to vehicle depending on how snug the mud flap is to the bodyshell. the 60's do provide a noticable bit of extra 'cush' compared to the 55's and i think they fill the wheel arch a little better too... rooferboy03
Thanks for responces. I've just ordered a brand new set of 18's Hurricanes in gunsmoke silver for 300 quid, bargain i reckon, what do you think? . My rangie is silver coachwork so they should look pretty damn good!!
