Tiger Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Right head back on tappets to adjust, got the adjusting order from the Haynes manual but need to know which one is which, not written on engine as stated. is it simply Radiator <---- so we know where the front is. Guest diesel_jim Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Do you know about the "rule of 9"? which ever valve you're adjusting, say number "2", make sure valve "7" is fully open, than way number 2 will be fully shut. which ever valve you're adjusting, the corresponding one to make a value of "9" needs to be fully open. ie... 1 & 8 2 & 7 3 & 6 4 & 5 etc etc...
