vinny Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 Got an X9 recently ... condition unknown so stripped and cleaned gearbox to check and everything and it all looks ok I understand from the manual I need "superwinch grease Part number?????" Will ordinary grease do?? The stuff I cleaned out was just like vaseline? Has anybody used anything other than the superwinch stuff? Cheers Vinny Use some good quality LM2 grease - but don't pack it, just brush it on so that all the bearing surfaces and gears get a light coating. Less drag, better lubrication.
