disco_al
I have a curious water leak on my V8 disco..... It looks like there is water seeping from the inlet manifold bolt just behind the distributor, it's more annoying than anything as the water level needs topping up every couple of days. my first thought is to bung a rad weld in to sort it out, or is it likely to be something more serious. will be a PITA if it is, as i have not long had the heads off to change the gaskets. could it just need tightening down some more? any suggestions would be most welcome (as long as it doesn't involve spending large chunks of cash )
Les Henson
I wouldn't use Rad Weld or Bars Leak - due to the pasty residue that ends-up floating about in the cooling system (it usually blocks the heater matrix to some degree). K-seal is far better in my experience, although in general any type of leak sealant might not work if the leak is caused by a gasket failure.. Les.
