Fitting a auxiliary fuel tank on a 90

Recommended Posts

Have the kit to fit a spare tank, it is one where you pump fuel into the main tank when that get low.

Have the all the bit's including a fuel guage and sensor. My question is, where is a good spot to plumb in the fuel line to the main tank? Also does anyone have any tips useful tips on installing this whole system, it's my first time...

Usually there is a piece of (metal) pipe that you insert into the main filler pipe...ie, cut a section of the rubber filler pipe out (say 3") and then you insert the new metal piece (which would be, say, 4" or so) into the "gap", there'll be 1/2" either side for a pipe clip to go on, and then this metal insert will have a small pipe welded onto it, which you'd connect to the output side of the transfer pump.
