Henning Posted March 26, 2008 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Hi there! I´m new to this forum and this is because I´m thinking about getting a second 4X4 on my yard. My first one is a Volkswagen T3 16" Syncro double cab (see my webpage: www.syncro-services.com) and after having a series 3 pushed around difficult terrain in Australia (http://www.explorermagazin.de/austr99_1/austr99_1.htm), I´m looking for a good, spacious, and reliable 4X4 for my wife and our two kids (daily driver). However, I´ve never worked on a Disco and no experience with them. Could anybody please give me some input on the weak points (gear boxes, half axles, diesel engine, wheel bearings, body...whatever), specific tests I should conduct when inspecting it....
