Ryan Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 I'm not normally found lurking in here due to owning a Discovery, however, a chance meeting the other day has prompted me to post. I was pulling into the local sorting office car park when I was followed by a (very) light green lwb soft top. The driver and I started chatting while picking up our respective parcels and he told me he had imported it from Australia. Apparently they were built at Solihull, sent out to Australia where it was modified and fettled 'til it met Auzzie military standards. A couple of the mods were comfy seats and a brush bar that wouldn't look out of place helping move traffic across the Severn Estuary. It had the original straight 6 petrol engine (though converted to LPG). He imported it because it was completely rust free being kept in very dry conditions (apparently Australia is like that ).
