phil200tdi
Hi All I am about to replace my duff gearbox with a good used one. Just checked the box after 2 months in the shed and the gearlever is seized. how should I solve this problem? Grease, rust remover, WD40? Or can I swap the gearlever mount with the one on the duff box? (I have seen one with the lever stripped on the ashcroft website - see photo). If so how easy is this to do and what tools will be required. Its an LT77 for a 200tdi disco incase this helps... Look forward to your solutions... disco tony
gear lever unbolts very easily nothing jumps out at you. Also, the remote extension also just unbolts without anything going twang. unbolt extension by removing yellow tagged bits. Make sure half moon locates properly when you put back on new box. This should all make sense when you start exploring. It is not difficult, dont be frightened of it. HTH
phil200tdi
sound pretty easy... Will take the lever off the new box in a couple of days to explore prior to removing the old box.. Fingers crossed!! Phil
