lemains
Hi all, In normal conditions when I deactivate the alarm (original from fabric) it beeps 2 times. Since some days ago, when I deactivate the alarm it beeps 4 times. I was looking at the Owner's Manual but did not find anything about the number of beeps. I am pretty sure it means something so I was wondering if any of you guys has had the same issue. Could it be some serious electrical issue? or it's simply that the battery of the handset is about to die? I would appreciate any insight. Thanks,
BogMonster
The alarms in the rest of the world don't do either of the things you say - UK and rest of world spec ones just flash the indicators, three times on lock and once on unlock. The only time it beeps the horn is if you lock it and there is a "mislock" i.e. one of the doors or the bonnet is not shut properly, or the sensor is telling it that one isn't. Might be worth checking those out but sounds like you have a different alarm system. It might be a warning of the battery handset so I would replace that as a precaution. lemains
Thx Bod, I will replace the battery of the handset just in case. By the way, the beeps do not come from the horn. Thx
BogMonster
OK well change the battery and see what happens before you do anything else. It could be a low battery warning and maybe four beeps means flatter than 2 beeps
