kingdong
Hi all the turbo on my disco engine i bought a few weeks ago has damaged finns looks like something has been wearing on the finns and there is alot of play in the spindle. was thinking of going the defender manifold way but i am told that using a defender manifold and turbo will reduce the power of the engine. why does it reduce the power. and also is it posible to fit a disco turbo to a defender manifold would that keep the power up. it is just that paddocks are selling both disco and defender turbos for the same price £345 + vat just wounded if it was worth doing. cheers treebasher. Guest noggy
i believe the actual turbos are the same one, but its actually the way the manifold is designed, the bore of the tube etc is different on a defender and disco. Having that little bit less power on your series will help you stop poping halfshafts etc. search the forums, its been covered plenty of times.
