Arthurmullard
Hi all, turns out my/our original idea was correct i think it is the flex plate, as i get a different crank speed and faster pump speed! and the scraping whiring noise from the bell housing once the engin stops! any one know the best/easiest way to remove the flex plate? can i slide gearbox back far enough? or is it a remove only? would appreciate any info! Thanks Dave
Les Henson
I've only done manual gearboxes I'm afraid, but as long as they are much the same shape/size, then moving the gearbox back will give you the same approx 6-inches to work in. No clutch in the way, so I would think it would be easier to do. Make sure the torque converter stays in place though. Les.
