Mark Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Quick question... I need to helicoil one of the head bolt threads on the block of my 200tdi. I know the studs are M12, but I have 3 choices of pitch - 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 mm. Does anyone know, definitively the pitch of the thread on a head bolt? I don't have any available to check, otherwise I would, but I want to make sure I've got the bits before I tear the engine it apart...
