zaraflo Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 hi can anyone help i have a 1998 v8i auto wich i have recently put new front & rear springs / shocks / red pollybush kit the springs have been upgraded 70 mm lift . the back end just seems to bounce alot when on the road . would a stiffer arb stop this or are there any other ways to stop this all sugestions welcome thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JimAttrill Posted October 15, 2008 Share Posted October 15, 2008 70mm sounds a bit too much for the UJ's to me, let alone the bounce. We warn clients that they might not like the results when fitting stronger springs, and some have had them removed at great expense. I reckon the best thing for a Disco is the air springs made by Firestone. You can fit them at the rear and pump them up when you are carrying a load. When unloaded you deflate them and go back to normal comfy springs. They are also not expensive and you can even swop them to your next car if you sell the one you've got. If you want you can fit an on-board compressor and adjust the springs as you ride. Most people just pump them up at a garage instead.
