Fixing brake pipes to chassis or other panels - what's the best solution? - oe style push in clips - plastic or metal clips rivetted on - p clips fastened with self drilling screws Rear axle, I am not that fond of cable ties, how else can it be done? SIMEXSLAVE Posted October 30, 2008 Share Posted October 30, 2008 Hi Mike I used rubber insulated 'P' clips so the pipes didnt rub through and on the back axle I bent some steel pipe and welded it to the casing and ran the pipes through them to give them total protection. Turbocharger Posted October 30, 2008 Share Posted October 30, 2008 I got a jumbo repair washer, bent one edge twice in opposite directions to form a crude hook, and self-tappered it to the chassis rail with big crosshead screws so it should come undone again.
