blowing fuses

Hi - clearly sounds like a short circuit somewhere. Does your model have the dim/dip type side lights which use the main bulb at reduced wattage or traditional 5w plugin bulbs ?

As a starter for ten, if it's the traditional side light 5w bulb, check the wires to the bulb holder have not chaffed against the metal at the front where they pass through various panel openings by the headlight.

For the rear lights again worth a quick check of the wires feeding the bumper light as those wires are exposed. The wiring feeding the other tail light on the C post is pretty well protected, but worth a check as well. Obviously you will need to remove the trim panel to get at.

Another thought, does it have tow bar electric socket ?

Again worth checking the exposed wires feeding it and their entry into the car for chaffing.

Good luck

Regards

Check also the glovebox light. Mine caused similar problems with fuses blowing, turned out that it was shorting there. Bits of insulating tape, strategically placed cured it, after checking everywhere I thought the likely fault would be, ie as previously described.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Only items on that fuse are R/H side light and R/H tail light and bumper light, although you will have the circuit in the trailer socket if you have one. so (as said already) check all connections and bulbs the trailer socket should be clean but the terminals well greased up.

Your sidelights are independant and have no connection with the dim-dip facility if you have that fitted.
