recaro rs turbo seats into a classic

as title says has anyone done this as im going to put some in mine as dont want fixed back buckets

if yes how did you go about it pics would be great also

IIRC Overfinch fitted Recaro's to their classic conversions so it can be done.

I fitted them to my Disco (previously a 4 door. I just knocked up some adapter frames that picked up the 4 mounting bolts on the Disco subframe and the 4 bolting points on the base of the recaros. If you remove the ford subframes you will find the seats actually have a flat base with 4 bolt holes in the corners so it is relatively simple to make the adapter. Heres a pic of them fitted in the Disco.

Well spotted, thay are from a saffire cossie, hence no tilt forward function (which would have been useful!). The seatbelt buckle is part of the ford subframe that i threw away if I remember. The disco one is fixed to the transmision tunnel so was not an issue. Not sure how it is on the rangie sorry.
