help needed

hi all just a quick one if the battery in the alarm fob for my 300tdi goes flat i believe there is a code/sequence off events that swicthes off the alarm and disables the imobiliser with the use of the key so i can still drive the viechle without using the fob does anyone know if this code is available from landrover ofr will they just laugh at me?? or is the code the same for all 300tdi and i just dont know what it is? any hepl appreciated

Up to 1995-

No synchronization required after battery replacement.

1995 - 1996-

Note: Remote control contains a transponder and MUST be attached to the same ring as the ignition key.

. Unlock vehicle using key

. Deactivate alarm

Note: Alarm system can be disarmed using 4-digit code from vehicle security card as detailed in the owners handbook.

. Switch ignition ON

. Switch ignition OFF

. Remove ignition key

. If battery replacement has taken longer than 5-minutes

. Deactivate the system using the 4-digit code from the vehicle security card as detailed in the owners handbook

. Hold the remote control close to the vehicle.

. Press either button of the remote control 4-times or more in quick succession.

. Replacement remote controls can only be programmed using diagnostic equipement.
