SteveOS3
First of all let me come clean - I'm an imposter from the TVR car club who has been referred here for help on a common part - the clutch slave cylinder. The Land Rover Series 3 cylinder is identical but one-fifth of the price, so I bought it from Land Rover. As part of the overhaul I'd like to replace the solid copper pipe between master and slave with a braided flexi one but need a new union for the slave as the fittings differ. Could anyone here advise me of the union size? Many thanks, SteveO
Phil Hancock
7/16"UNF is the thread. Just for reference an early 200Tdi disco clutch slave will swap with a series 3 slave but is M12 x 1mm thread.
SteveOS3
Many thanks Phil, I think the Disco slave was what was originally fitted as that is the size of the union I took off. I'll get the unions ordered. A local firm has agreed to take them and make up a flexi braided pipe too so it's been a good couple of days. Thanks again, Steve
