pw8757 Posted May 11, 2009 Share Posted May 11, 2009 I was tempted to record a sound file to go with this. I have a high pitched noise coming from the front of the engine bay. It seems to reduce in volume when the throttle is applied. It's not a leaking hose 99992 miles................... I wonder if it may be the water pump bearing? ashtray Posted May 12, 2009 Share Posted May 12, 2009 belt tensioner? remove the poly belt and wiggle the water pump and belt tensioner pulleys, should be easily located, that or with the belts on and engine running spray lube the bearings of the pulleys to eliminate the noise's source Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
