Hoosier
I am a 6 month owner of my first Land Rover. I am hooked for life but also starting to experience the pains of ownership. Our 98 Disco 1 has had some issues of overheating periodically/ not consistantly in the last few weeks. I have changed hoses, therm, and flushed radiator. I have noticed a small oil leak near the water pump and now wonder if maybe the issue is a faulty head gasket. I hear they are quite expensive to replace. Any way to verify this and if so should I have the water pump changed while I am doing this anyway? Normal driving around town seems to be okay only when I take on long trips or off road does the temp go up. Still would never give it up!
