knacker Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Hi all, Have just fitted a 3.9 V8 out of a 95 Disco into a 86 ex mod 90, got it all running all nice and bubbly but there's a couple of things to sort out. Have wired the alternator charge light to the 90's loom(same colour brown/yellow) but the light doesn't work. When i tested the light for power with a test lamp it lit up but dull ? I'm using a speed transducer from a 92 Range Rover because of the speedo, This has two wires Green/yellow, on the Disco loom there is just one yellow and pink(i think left my piece of paper in the shed). Ex MOD, so its probably a 24v bulb, replace it with a 12v item. No idea about the second bit, sorry. Have you looked in the workshop manuals for wiring diagrams?
