I.O.M
Hi, I have found a Hand Throttle from a series land rover and i was just wondering if someone could tell me ware abouts did the mount on the dash or on the floor? Thanks Paul
Rich_P
Different hand throttles were used throughout the production run of the Series, and each one was mounted and located differently.
tacr2man
What sort of knob has it got on it , if its round and sort of flat like a big black smartie , then it fits under the dash in the middle , and the control rod goes thru the firewall and connects up with the throttle shaft that runs along the bulkhead. If it has a squareish knob then it mounts vertically on the side of the passenger side footwell . HTSH
Rich_P
And there's another one that fits in the dash to the left of the dash "console" in the 2A. The one that fits directly under the dash as described by the previous poster was also used in the 2A and earlier motors.
