Lenny
Hello all, Looking to do a BJ replacement. Please see images of 2 different drop arms. One of the drop arm's upper flange has no "lip/rim"? My original drop arm does has a lip which i assume holds the rubber. Can anyone help? disco_al
get a drop arm of a later 300 series disco, and the tie rod from the box to the n/s wheel - does away with the ball joint in the arm, and replaces it with a normal track rod end. Lenny
Decided to get a big hammer and swapped the droparms. Job done in under 5 mins - before it began to rain too.
Pinkrover
is this the steering arm ball joint? if it is there is a way of making it last much longer, especially if you wade or go through deep mud. Buy a ball joint replacement kit, lightly score 4 channels with an angle grinder along the axis of the ball and tap a grease nipple into the base plate. Then every time you go off road or wading regrease the ball joint and this will cleanout all the water/carp.....
