  1. Donnington is a good start to the year, but were would you fit another show in to the calendar ? My calendar year is pretty full as it is an always a compromise between events Les
  2. Magoo-view or Magoo away / for the chronologically challenged amongst us who remember Mr Magoo cartoons :-)
  3. are they stainless Fridge ? I was looking at maybe using the front 2 on the manifold and adding another front 2 to make the left hand manifold fit on my 101....
  4. picture of TVR Chimerra exhaust, I am not sure if the could be modified into a 101, But it would sound awesome :-) $_12 by Pinkrover, on Flickr
  5. Hi Soren, the manifold will fit straight onto the block, it is intrinsically the same block, the adjustments are required to fit around the body work and gearbox mainly on the left-hand side, ( and the pulley's if you have a nokken winch ). on the right hand side you may have to mod the hand brake linkage to clear the manifold.... I have a pair of P38 manifolds , but have not had time to look at them, so if you do mod a left-hand one I would be very interested in seeing the pictures and dimensions to help me when I have the time to do mine. There is another option, but I am not sure how it would work out in a 101, that is the TVR manifold which I believe exits forwards Les
  6. Left%20Hand%20Exhast%20manifold by Pinkrover, on Flickr here's a picture showing the work involved to make the P38 left hand manifold fit into a 101, another option I have heard of is from the MG owners club, they do a system for the V8 MG but it exits down wards f0d2c06c by Pinkrover, on Flickr V8%20Headers by Pinkrover, on Flickr C030 by Pinkrover, on Flickr all the above are pictures of MG V8 manifold below is the Standard P38 right hand manifold in place on a 101 RR%20SS%20exhast%20manifolds by Pinkrover, on Flickr
  7. I totally agree with MickeyW, I only went for a test drive 3 years ago now I am poor, permanently busy fixing it and grinning stupidly all the time Watch this space, Shrek is off to Llanerchidda for a weekends laning
  8. As I said , it is totally unrealistic as a daily runner, a good 101 V8 will get up to 10-12mpg on petrol or the equivalent of 18-20 on lpg. There are a lot of 101's with 200/300 tdi conversion's and I have heard many mpg figures claimed for these, but I can't comment on the accuracy of these. I do know of guys who use them as daily drives for their businesses, a plasterer and a guy doing stone walling for example, and for that they great due to the large load carrying space. For someone who enjoys adventurous pursuits in remote places the ability to go anywhere, camp out in the back and carry all their equipment makes them very suitable. But for pure miles per smile they are un beatable. Photos by Nick 90 by Pinkrover, on Flickr
  9. or you can be totally un realistic and go with your heart, how about a 101 ? room for all your gear/bikes AND you can live in the back if it Anywhere :-) photos by Tim Jowett by Pinkrover, on Flickr And up she rises..... by Pinkrover, on Flickr

  12. The Army always say carry some condoms, apparently the have many uses....... Being a V8 man I always carry multiple tins od WC40.... oops WD 40, ty-raps and Tesco carrier bags, ( other brands of carrier bags are available and as effective) these make a for disposable , easy to fit distributor waterproofing solution.
  13. great humour and a lot of been there understanding the sentiment, I must say though if you think a defender is hard word.................................. wait till you buy a 101
