djbrookes
Hi, Sorry if this has been discussed on here already but it won't let me add my message to the other crankcase filter post. Anyway...I need to replace the crankcase filter in my 04 Freelander TD4. I have bought the part but for the life of me I cannot work out where it is located in the engine. Please can somebody help...I am used to working on my Defender and all of the Freelander engine just looks very plastic lol. Please help. Thanks Josh
LR NUT
Remove the cover towards rear of the engine. look at the centre of the engine a bit towards the right you will see between air filter and injectors there is a housing with 6 hex socket headed bolts which, is the cover for the crankcase breather filter. You will have to remove two of the injector leak off pipes to make enough room to remove the cover. Look at page 2 on the forum which I posted and a good guy called andyb helped me out
