paul278mc
I was wondering (I am a newbie to my discovery) where (if THERE IS ONE) the amplifier for the speakers are. I have replaced all the speaker with fli 4" in the front doors and 4" in the back and 6" where the bass unit used to be but am experiencing pretty rubbish sound quality. I am sure ther is an amp in the motor but not sure where it is. can anybody help and should i get a pro in to do it as i no nothing about amps and the wiring involved. any assistance would very gratefully recieved. Many thanks. Paul.
BogMonster
Maybe under the passengers seat, if there is one. That's where it is in my D2.
Frazer-XS-TDI
Hi there, in my Disco 1 i found the Amp in the rear door fastened to the two subwoofers, after much struggling to get the amp to work i opted for a new small 150watts RMS JBL amp under the front passenger seat. Its a bit of a boring and awkward job wiring but then jou can use decent 6"1/2 subs in the rear door.
