drkwack
Hi, tried the resolder wire trick didnt work so am begining to believe the sender at least is fubared, might have to call in an auto sparky, ta
drkwack
Hi, update just in case. Time to put hands up and admit I'm a pillo-k, auto sparky mate came out did loads of checks and found the wiring had caught the tailpipe of the exhaust and melted through them, no power return to gauge, new wire inserted and fuel gauge now works. DaveA
I was going to ask ... Where did you take the ohm reading, ie at which end of the wire.If you measured the reading at the gauge end of the wire maybe you would have found the fault ?? Ea sy in hindsight ...
