andmac
hi, just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. i have a td5 disco which has a noise when idling, i have done a bit of digging and when i take a bit of tension off aux drive belt when running the noise goes away, its not a normal belt squeal sounds more metalic, i have checked all pulleys and they seem ok, as soon as i touch the throttle the noise goes away, i am thinking it may be power steering pump, any help would be appreciated. andmac
i have been told it may be the crank pulley, anyone had any dealings with these.

BogMonster
Have you tried the aftermarket guys - Bearmach/Britpart etc, may have a pattern part?
