nickt Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 when out playing in the mud today I heard a clunk then lost drive on the front axle I partially stripped the axle and found damage on the last 6mm or so of the spline and when I look into the axle I can only see half the splined section in the diff as if it has dropped what inside the diff is likely to have failed and more importantly why would it its as if the gear has come off the end of the half shaft. cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Les Henson Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 Crosshaft pin may have snapped, so the sun gears will no longer share the drive to the wheels, Alternativeley - the end of the driveshaft has sheared off, so the same effect to the drivetrain.
