Dorsetfreelander
I have a 2004 Freelander TD4 auto with 61K miles and recently noticed a bit of an oily mess forming on the intake pipe. Please see attached photos. I don't think it's coming from the dipstick as this remains relatively clean. Has anyone any suggestions, should I remove the piework and just clean it up etc? or is it the first sign of something more sinister? The crankcase filter has been replaced (by a garage) every 12K miles. Thanks Dennis PS what does the sensor on the pipe do?
