piper109
On the non EDC injector pump used on 300tdi there is a lever on the back side of the pump which is attached to the throttle arm via a couple of springs. The throttle cable passes sort of through it. Can someone tell me what it is for? How should it be adjusted? I had the top off the pump to replace a throttle shaft seal and saw what it does. Most of the time I think it does nothing at all. What German trickery am I trying to fathom out? Is it an emergency shut down lever? Or maybe part of an anti-shudder system? I had thought it was part of a cold start system but its not that. Thanks, Steve
