Orgasmic Farmer
On a friends 200 TDI L Reg Disco. She says there is a buzzing coming from an electgrical box to the right of the fuse box. Box has many wires and an aerial coming out of it so I fugure this is an immbiliser. She has normal key (no blipper or remote) but the car has a blinking light so may have had immobilser earlier?? Anyway, since the buzzing started the battery runs flat over night and none of the lights work either. Is this a known issue? Is there an easy fix. Cheers in advance for any advice Mark
doda456
200 tdis are very easy to bypass the immobiliser on. To run the only need constant 12v on the fuel pump, and a shourt burst of power to the starter to turn over. So its upto you what you do, but if you disable the the immobiliser it will still run
vougese39
that is the basic alarm unit you have a fault inside but it can be bypassed the alarm will still work when you lock it with thew door key! removing it will stop the cdl from working too
Orgasmic Farmer
Any ideas which wires need to be cut/spliced. Anyone got a pinout diagram of the alarm unit?
