200tdi Performance Exhaust & Intercooler Challenge

I'm well into a 200tdi 90 rebuild with new chassis, refurb'd axles etc for SWMBO and have got to the point I would like to sort out the bits needed to get a bit more oomph from the engine, ie a big intercooler and big stainless exhaust....

I decided to do a bit of a commercial / technical evaluation on the options because there are quite a few alternatives - some companies sell custom intercoolers, some sell the exhausts and a few sell both. So, I've tried to browse websites - a couple of them don't work or are currently being upgraded. I've sent e-mails and had returned errors but no personal replies.

So my question is - is business so good that these companies can ignore hundreds of pounds worth of easy business??

I deliberately have not named anybody in particular but trust me, I've tried most (if not all) of the well known firms and my good intentions of a fun paper evaluation of all the alternatives has almost turned into "he who replies wins"... Sad. If you only want folk to phone, don't provide an e-mail address!!

I need to get this wagon out of the shed so I can start on my 4.2 auto 110 

it's true that some of the companies do take a long time to reply, some of them only have two or three employees. i remember when i was looking at upgrading my intercooler, it took the best part of a week for the supplier to reply with a price and availability - they were on there summer shutdown at the time though.

it does pay to persevere with them, and not give up hope - give them a week or so to reply, and see what happens, not all suppliers of landrover parts are huge multi national conglomerates....

Whats also worth considering is the fact that 200tdi is now old school.... and the demand for parts for them is therefore far reduced from what it used to be... so therefore the prices might seem high in relation to whats available for the newer stuff.... and less easy to get!
