western
So in need of a new diode cheers western as the alternator is only 4 months old, see if you can get it exchanged or repaired, a new diode pack & a bench load test should cure the fault. 90MAD
new alternator fitted still got the same problem so is it wiring on the back of the alternator (the old td wiring on disco alternator) or wirirng on ignigtion because when ignition switched on the battery light goes out and oil light comes on as normal but they both should come on together then go out when engine started correct.
